Good Afternoon, Y'all!
So, I was planning on making breakfast for Sunday School at church tomorrow... I couldn't decide - Savory or Sweet? So, I'm making an easy recipe of BOTH! What's better than both?
Nothing, of course.

{Sausage Egg Casserole}
5 Eggs
5 Eggs
1/4 C. Milk
16 Oz. Biscuits, Cubed
4 Chopped Scallions
1 C. Shredded Cheddar
1 Lb. Cooked Sage Sausage
Whisk your eggs & milk well. Add your cubed biscuits to that mixture. Let them soak for about 10 minutes or so. The more egg the biscuits soak up, the better more moist casserole you'll have! Add your scallions, cheese & sausage to the biscuits & stir.
Pour in a greased 9X13 casserole dish.
Bake at 350F for 30 (or so) minutes!

Curious...this looks delicious and I would love to make this, however, I do not have corn syrup. Is it absolutely necessary, or could I perhaps substitute it with something else?
ReplyDeleteHey There Alysia!
DeleteThanks for your comment! I honestly don't think it is necessary .... My regular monkey bread recipe does not call for corn syrup, so I would say you'd be just fine without it! :)
Thanks for your input! ;)
