{Six Recipes For Slow Cooker Oatmeal}

I am SOOOOOO all about an easy breakfast EVERY morning! Once in a while, I'll get up and want to cook a big breakfast, but for the most part... I'd rather have it ready to go waiting on my hungry kiddos as they wake up so it's not so chaotic when they all get hungry at the same time.

Below are the links to six different recipes for oatmeal in the Slow Cooker from +Eat at Home!

{ F I T N E S S } & { A Healthy Lifestyle }

{ CURRENT MARCH PROMOTION | VERY GOOD DEAL }

------------------------------------------------------

A new journey...
A new beginning...
A healthy start...
A determined heart...

------------------------------------------------------

I'm SUPER excited to share with y'all a new journey I've begun. I'm changing my life around - and in turn - my family's also! I'm ready to make healthier choices, to cook food that is delicious and good for us! I'm starting a new habit of working out! And, my kiddos love joining in too!
This isn't about taking all the scrumptious treats away or depriving yourself from coffee or ice cream.... But, to realize that all things in moderation is a better choice. Also, there are many choices we can make in our food on a daily basis that still taste great and are much better for our bodies.

Also, fitness... it comes easier for some than others... For me... I am NOT a runner! I am so not a fan... I would love to love it, but I just don't. I'm not going to do something every day that I hate doing. So, if you're like me in that area, choose something you ENJOY doing. Yoga, cardio, pilates, short work outs, long ones, etc. What works best for Y O U!? It's about personalizing what is best for you and your family. It's possible, trust me.

I'm going to attach a few links below. I hope you follow me on this journey and JOIN IN. I love hearing from you, I love having you apart of my team. After all, we're all in this together! ;) I've become a BeachBody coach and Shakeology lover and would love for you to join in... it is SUCH an awesome way to start your journey! :)

Ask me ANYTHING! <3

{Best Roasted Chicken | Honey, Rosemary, Lemon & Veggies, Too}

This is the best recipe.
So delicious, so easy and MOIST CHICKEN!
Yayyyyy!!

You can also make a pan gravy from the drippings.
SO DELICIOUS.
Ingredients:
2 Lbs. Chicken Thighs {Skin On}
3 1/2 T. Honey
2 Garlic Cloves, Minced
2 T. Butter
2 T. Olive Oil
6 Rosemary Sprigs, Take Leaves Off Of Stems & Chop
4 Lemons, Juiced
1 lb. Red Potatoes {Or Other Potatoes, Chopped}
A Few Rainbow Carrots, Peeled, Left Long But Cut in Half
Salt and Pepper
Directions:
Preheat Oven 400°F
Place your chicken {skin side up} and veggies in a large casserole dish or baking sheet with sides. Don't let the ingredients touch, if you can, this will help you get a nice, golden brown crisp on the chicken and veggies {at least don't let the chicken touch the other chicken}. If they touch, they're more likely to steam and not brown. Still yummy, but hey, flavor in the brown ;)!
Sprinkle liberally with salt and pepper! Take one of your lemons, cut in half and squeeze the juice onto your ingredients in the dish. Then, cut the halves into fourths and put in the dish also.
In a saucepan, zest the lemons and then squeeze the juice into the pan. Add the chopped rosemary, honey, garlic, oil and butter. Simmer on medium low heat until combined and flavors meld well. Pour over chicken and veggies.
Bake for 45-55 minutes or until chicken is done.

{How To Save The Most At Target | The Easy Way}

The other day I shared how much I have saved JUST with the Target Cartwheel app - over $137! Which is awesome!

A lot of you commented, asking how to use cartwheel or asked about other ways I save at Target. I only shop at Target, unless I can't find something there & then I ask my sweet hubs to go to Wally World (ick!) ... I love my Tarjay, I love their customer service, the cleanliness of the store and the money I save ... not to mention there is a Starbucks that you must stop at before shopping - duh! :)

Okay.. so, here is the low-down...

FIRST & FOREMOST
GET. A. REDCARD.

If you want to get credit, go for it...
But...

If you're like me - I did NOT want a credit card, but thankfully heard the cashier explain what it was. There is a Debit Redcard (KEYWORD DEBIT) ... All you have to have to sign up is a check and ID ... it's quick! You get a temporary card & save 5% immediately & then you'll get your permanent card in the mail. It is linked to your Checking Account - there are no fees - nothing! It's so worth it. Plus, if you buy online you save the 5% and always get free shipping. WORTH IT.

CARTWHEEL:

Step One - Download The Cartwheel App On Your Smart Phone:

- Search Cartwheel
- Click Install
- Select Open

Step Two - Once You Open - You Need To Sign Up:

- Sign Up Through Email Or Facebook
- Click Sign In To Start Saving!
- Follow Prompted Directions

Step Three - Your Options To Save:

OPTION ONE:
{Scan As You Go}

- There are three black lines on the top left of your app (right next to the red cart)
- Click those lines
- You'll then see the screenshot on the right
- Click "scan product"
- As you shop, scan the barcode on the item you're buying to see if Cartwheel has a coupon for it. If not, it will give you two options - I usually choose "scan again" to try another brand or move on to the next product I'm planning to purchase.

{the above photo is what you'll see when you want to scan a barcode}

OPTION TWO:
{Search Before/As You Shop}

- Click The Three Black Lines On The Top Left Side Of Your App
- Select "Offers"
- Type the product you're searching for by the magnifying glass
- If there is a coupon for it, it will pull up and you can click "add" like the oil below ...

As far as Cartwheel goes, those are basically the two ways you can go about obtaining coupons in your "cart". When you get to the register to check out, the cashier will ring everything up and then you'll click on the "barcode" {pictured below} in your app so they can scan it and your savings will show on your receipt.

The other *simple* way of saving with Target is to get their "text coupons" .. below are screenshots of what I have on my phone currently ... all you do is text the word "offers" to 827438 (target) and they'll send you a text back with a direct link to click on for more coupons - it will pull up which coupons they are offering along with a barcode you have the cashier scan while checking out... {they also have one going on right now which you text "thanks" to the same number}

I hope this all makes sense! :) Please - if you have ANY questions... feel free to comment below or send me an email or Facebook message! I'm all ears and will help you as much as I can! :)

{of course, you can ALWAYS save even more with manufacture coupons that you cut out & ones that you can print directly from Target.com ... ALSO - as you're shopping, be on the lookout for "buy two get a $5 gift card" or a text offer - it's usually worth it!}

Now, go grab you a Starbucks Latte & start shopping and saving!

{Baked Lemon Ziti}

Ingredients:

Butter {to grease your baking dish}
1 Box Ziti Pasta, Cooked & Drained {or any kind you have}
1 T. Olive Oil
8 Slices Bacon, Cooked & Crumbled
1 Stick Room Temperature Butter
½ C. Flour
3 ½ C. Whole Milk, Room Temperature
Zest of 2 Large Lemons
2¾ C. Grated Parmesan
1 C. Fresh Basil, Chopped
2 T. Fresh Thyme, Chopped
¼ C. Fresh Lemon Juice
S & P

Topping:

⅔ C. Lemon Pepper Panko {pictured below}
⅓ C. Grated Parmesan
Olive Oil {for drizzling}

Directions:

In a large nonstick skillet, heat the olive oil over medium-high heat. Add the bacon and cook until brown and crispy, about 8 minutes. Using a slotted spoon, remove the pancetta and drain on paper towels.

In a saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the flour and whisk until smooth, about 2 minutes. Gradually add the milk, whisking constantly to prevent lumps. Add the lemon zest. Simmer over medium heat, whisking constantly, until the sauce thickens, about 10 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat and stir in the Parmesan, salt and pepper.

In a large bowl, combine the cheese sauce, cooked bacon, pasta, basil and thyme. Toss until the ingredients are coated. Stir in the lemon juice. Spoon the mixture into the buttered baking dish.

In a small bowl, combine the breadcrumbs and Parmesan. Sprinkle the topping over the pasta mixture. Drizzle the top with olive oil and bake at 350°F until the top is golden brown, 25 minutes. Enjoy :)

***Next time, I'll add grilled chicken breasts seasoned with Lemon Pepper! The perfect combo!***
